Brampton-based artist Melodic Child is often referred to as the “Street Poet” because of his ability to paint pictures from the painful experiences of his past. Before moving Brampton, Melodic was raised in the Jane & Finch area alongside his three sisters and baby brother.
His soulful influences range from artists like Aaliyah, Mary J. Blige and Keysha Cole, to Usher, and more. As he grew older, he found himself relating to the trials, tribulations, and successes of artists like Meek Mill, Nipsey Hussle, Yung Bleu and Rod Wave.
After developing his sound for three years, the artist started his own independent label, Dreams 2 Reality, on which he has released several successful singles to date.
He is currently gearing up to release his debut project.
From the streets to the world, Melodic Child is in his own lane and knows exactly where he’s going.
