Melodraw were born in 2006, in a garage in Caeiros, a small village near Ericeira, Portugal.
Their wide range of influences and styles led them to be dubbed as “bipolar rock”. With a blend of vigorous Rock, some Folk nuances and even traces of catchy Pop, their sound is both pure and eclectic.
In 2013 they released their EP Whip, home to the single “God’s Evolution”, with an overwhelming, almost punk sound. In 2015, they released the more pop-oriented single “Pardon Me”. The album Whiskey & Bananas, recorded at Namouche Studios, was released in 2016, with several songs that mirror the band’s eclecticism, from raw Rock to Progressive, and even Folk. After some changes in the band’s roster and the interruption due to the pandemic, in the end of 2022 Melodraw released “Into the Sky”, thus beginning a new chapter in the band’s history.
During their career, Melodraw had the chance to have their music played on several national radio stations, such as Antena 3, Radar and Super FM, and also appeared in the television shows Cinco para a Meia Noite and Offbeatz.
Their new album, Erratic Wave, is out now.
