MelRon is the creative collaboration of husband-and-wife duo Mel and Aaron, two Emmy-winning Hispanic-American storytellers blending their passions for music and life. As amateur singer-songwriters, MelRon embraces every genre—writing and performing across styles with heart, curiosity, and an open ear for inspiration.
Mel was born in the U.S. to parents from Barranquilla, Colombia, and spent her high school years in Barranquilla, deeply influenced by its rich musical and cultural heritage. Aaron is an immigrant from Cuba with a lifelong connection to music, playing saxophone, piano, and guitar. He’s built a celebrated career as a broadcast sound engineer, earning multiple Emmys for his behind-the-scenes audio work, while Mel has her own Emmy-winning career as a journalist and storyteller.
