Meltem is an unstoppable journey, an introspective maritime voyage, it's the magnetism produced by the waves of the sea and the breeze. Crossing storms and tempests, navigating through calm waters. It's the fusion of doom, rock, and psychedelia with the folk and popular music of the Mediterranean basins.
The band was formed in Barcelona in 2019, and after several lineup changes and recording a first demo in 2021, they have just recorded their first album "Mare Nostrum" with the well-known technician and producer Javi Félez at Moontower Studios. Comprising Dani (Landing Zone, the Black Gramola Conspiracy, Ni Hil) on guitar, Pep ( Warchetype, Cuzo, The Mothercrow, Sïtrâmâ) on drums and vocals, and David (Sitrama, THD, Easy Wind, All Midnite, Etérea) on bass. This trio is a commitment to exploring rhythmic and harmonic patterns of the Middle East, psychedelia, and rock, while incorporating the aggressiveness of more extreme elements.
