From recording on a cheap mic in a public housing stairwell, and saving his allowance to pay for real studio time, to garnering over a million streams to date; Memoir. is showing us the meaning of his name by proving that you can truly write your own story. His debut project, the Breathe. EP, released in 2019, is a vignette of a young man’s journey to understanding himself and including all of the trials and tribulations that come with it. It received a beautiful write up by Ashley Raymond for Bluntiq, stating that "Memoir. was able to bloom in the darkness, never allowing the burden of change to stop him from growing as a person and as an artist."
He followed up the EP by releasing a few singles, most notably John Lennon; a song that went on to be his most streamed yet, receiving over 300,000 streams to date. Stand out tracks 'Trust No One.' and 'Chef's Kiss.' have also surpassed the 100K stream milestone which led to placements from music influencers Masked Mortal and Tommy Craze' playlists.
Memoir. continued his ascension in 2022 releasing 6 singles as it was 'Poised II. / Hold Grudges.' that caught the attention from several publications including Brain Bakery Mag, Trending Raps, Swidlife, Roundhouse Music, Too Guud and Album Book Club. Journalist Swelly for Trending Raps states "The New York Native is a storyteller at heart, portraying glimpses of perseverance and overcomings in each offering."
