Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a synth pop band founded in 1991. Manuela Kraus and Joachim Broeckers met on a ship tour and immediately shared their passion for music. They come from completely different musical backgrounds and their curiosity and spirit of discovery to create their own music inspired them. Michael Gies, a school friend of Manuela, had the "voice" and it fitted like a glove. So Memorial Day was born. Oliver Goertz, the 4th band member, gave the sound of Memorial Day a little more hardness with his keyboards and synthesizers. Many performances and a CD were produced, which was made possible by Coma Media in Dormagen with their recording studio and event service.
To this day, the ladies and gentlemen come together to set one or the other track to music - music is one of the most beautiful passions that people have ever developed.
