Memory Entry

Memory Entry consists of vocalist / guitarist Keith M., bassist Armando Morales and drummer Jon Lane. The three musicians from across the country all ended up living in New York City and found each other in 2023. They bonded musically over their love of classic screamo, emo, hardcore and post hardcore and these influences inform the band’s overall sound.

Keith M: “I often cite the real beginning of the band in July of 2023. I was struck with the strongest artistic inspiration I ever felt in my life. It was the art I was taking in + the music I was taking in + these vivid recurring dreams I was having every night for the entire year. My head felt like it was on fire. That’s when we named the band and came up with a concept for the EP. We have plans to create a storyline between ‘Our World Is Going to Disappear’ and the release that follows. So far, the themes that we are exploring on this EP are that of another world - an alternate existence - wherein we have discovered a higher purpose. In this alternate world, it is apparent that there is work to be done…something that feels urgent and pressing, but it is ultimately unclear what steps need to be taken. The one thing that is certain is that waking hours are mostly spent longing to be back in the dream world, trying to solve the puzzle.”
