Menahem is an Indonesian thrash metal band from Yogyakarta. The band formed in 2019 by drummer Bened, guitarist Oddin, and bassist Rizal, then vocalist Fiyan and guitarist Yoga joined for their first show in Yogyakarta called “Sewon Calling”. They are inspired by fast and dark music coming from thrash metal, black metal, and death metal band such as D.R.I, Slayer, Metallica, Sodom, Venom, Darkthrone, Death, Obituary. Menahem released their first EP “Burn the Morbid” in early 2021 with the song “Dark Guidelines” as the single. With the music and lyrics they created, they brought the term "Thrash Almost Black" to their stages.
