Mercy Drive is an American hard rock band from Central Florida, best known for their electrifying sound and contributions to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Known for dynamic live performances, driving rhythms, and memorable hooks, Mercy Drive brings unmistakable energy to everything they do.
Emerging from the Orlando-based Big Mother Thruster, the band gained early momentum on the Florida circuit. Their music was featured on WWE’s Tough Enough series on MTV, including tracks like “Dogtooth Violet.” This led to Maven’s entrance theme, “Tattoo,” solidifying their WWE connection.
Reorganized as Mercy Drive with Jimmy McGlothlin (vocals/guitar), Jake Beard (guitar), and Corey Lane (drums), their sound—crafted with producer Rick Beato—captured the raw energy of their live shows. WWE tapped them again in 2004 to create Randy Orton’s theme, “Burn In My Light,” a staple of WWE events and video games.
After a long hiatus, Mercy Drive is back in the studio, ready to release new music and reignite the passion that has defined their career.
