Mercy Tribe Music champions female Christian songwriters. Our mission based, non-profit songwriting community was founded by Meg Ammons in 2021 and offers community, retreats, training, & real opportunities like song contests and recording.
At Mercy Tribe, we believe that women have a unique and powerful voice within the body of Christ, and that their songs should be heard and celebrated.
After multiple retreats and seeing a true community of songwriters, artists and worship leaders form, Mercy Tribe recorded its first live album in the fall of 2024 during Hurricane Helene. Despite a power outage on recording night, 7 songs written by women in our community were captured and that debut album is releasing June 5th, 2026.
We aren’t a band, we are a gathering of women. We make room for other women looking for a community to belong to and grow in. Ultimately, Mercy Tribe’s specific mission supports the global church’s broader mission-to glorify the name of Jesus, declare the gospel across the earth, make disciples, and ready the bride for Christ’s return.
