Hailing from Missoula, Montana, Meriwether Stand is a duo consisting of Dan Evans (guitars, vocals, keys) and Geoff Thomas (drums, piano, vocals). The duo has a focus on making groundbreaking music that blurs the lines between different genres and styles. The band’s music borrows from the lore of alternative rock and post-hardcore, but the duo keeps a open mind, often featuring influences as diverse as emo, indie-rock, and even lush elements of post-rock and progressive music. As a result, Meriwether Stand is always able to make catchy music that still retains an open mind and a very broad creative range. The duo’s upcoming studio album is titled “Velvet,” and it is to be released in December 2022.
