Formed around France-born and Canadian singer-songwriter Merle Marlow, the Merle Marlow Band is a group of musicians with various influences and experiences, gathered around a common passion for country music.
Marlow’s voice has often been compared to a mix of Luke Bryan and Kenny Chesney, showcasing very well the influences of the band, between 90’s country and more contemporary new-country artists, with notable touches of classic rock.
Those influences can also be heard in the band’s original songs, which several of them have been played on regular rotation on Canadian and European radio stations, especially their single “Western Sky”, which has been featured on Sirius XM’s CBC Country, during the summer of 2021.
The Merle Marlow Band is one of the most promising new country bands emerging from Québec and has been featured on many festivals and rodeos across their home province of Québec, including legendary events like the St-Tite Western Festival, or the Truck Rodeo in Notre-Dame-du-Nord.
Their latest single "Honkytonk Right Now" showcases some 90's country influences, along with their signature new-country sound, and has been a fan-favourite at the Merle Marlow Band shows.
The Merle Marlow Band will release their very first album, "Big Dreams & Gasoline" on May 29.
