Merlot Embargo is an Indie Americana Pop Duo from Los Angeles headed by singer/songwriter and guitarist couple Scarlet and Geoff. They write and record all of their original music out of their home studio and perform locally throughout the southern California area and beyond.

In December 2014 they walked away from an automobile accident that by all accounts should have been fatal. They left the scene of their horribly wrecked car wondering what they would have regretted if they'd been killed, and the answer was immediately apparent: not pursuing their own music. Their brush with disaster unleashed a flood of drive and creativity that propelled them to (finally) form their own band and leave their creative legacy for the world.
