Merykid, aka a totally normal songwriting human artist, enjoys apple juice, dogs, and producing grandiose concept-style albums often concerning subject material far too personal for casual enjoyment. Once referred to by Huffington Post as "releasing an album", Merykid often searches for opportunities to blend space, sound, and ideas in order to arrive at the unique sonic real-estate known as "art".
His most recent collaboration, titled DEATHBLOOM, is a work dedicated to capturing the mental & spiritual fatigue of the Texas people after suffering through the 2021 snow storm, an event that left millions without power. Co-created alongside multi-instrumentalist / producer Brandon Guerra, DEATHBLOOM was quoted by Bandcamp.com as, "...a dreamy collection of jazz-infused, lo-fi electronica that musically interprets the effects of last year's devastating winter storm in Texas."
