Metic fuses soulful guitar grooves with laid-back hip-hop beats. While his playing is rooted in blues and fingerstyle guitar, his productions are informed by 90s boombap, G-funk and trip-hop. A frequent collaborator, the Brooklyn-based Hong Kong native continues to draw inspiration from both cities. This is showcased in his album releases: <a href="spotify:album:4l2UzicGSaQUKa9f7WtHoM" data-name="Thoughts on Home and Symmetry">Thoughts on Home and Symmetry</a> and <a href="spotify:album:3X4BkDqWNOyXOIqYUBIlVx" data-name="Soul Feather">Soul Feather</a> both document his life and travels across his home and hometown, whereas <a href="spotify:album:5ruwkB41Xvxr7ynWzk7grB" data-name="A Fleeting Dream in Waking Life">A Fleeting Dream in Waking Life</a> is a collaborative album with Hong Kong ambient producer <a href="spotify:artist:1NjriDX47WYVvGjeVMQ8R6" data-name="Norvik">Norvik</a> that explores the borders of ambient and beatmaking.
Together with longtime friend <a href="spotify:artist:04V09hOaV8J9dISRfEcZvE" data-name="Lamchop">Lamchop</a>, he also formed <a href="spotify:artist:5FE0jNoXdkYBQl78Dni7DZ" data-name="Horizon Terminal">Horizon Terminal</a> in 2018. After their self-titled debut EP <a href="spotify:album:6CxKNbE4V35qYcJqKdSHcq" data-name="Horizon Terminal">Horizon Terminal</a> and sophomore EP <a href="spotify:album:394e4C94yFgNTesBnMir4g" data-name="Saturn Return">Saturn Return</a>, they returned with their first full-length LP <a href="spotify:album:6itBAqL7GJ1fMKnAHjCRtw" data-name="Pastel Lovers">Pastel Lovers</a> centered around the theme of young love and the aesthetic of British Columbia's pastel skies.
