Metzo began rapping while living in Nigeria with his parents who were migrants from Senegal in the West African powerhouse.
A much anticipated move to California Central Coast in 1999, adapting to a new environment, and issues surrounding deaths of family and friends, and a host of other issues put a tremendous strain on Metzo's ability to pursue a music career. In the end, it only strengthened his resolve to remain committed to his dream and ready to move forward.
