and Daniel Eric Finkel (rapper, screenwriter) ran into each other at a party and
both expressed how smitten they were with the rap duo Run
The Jewels latest album. Perhaps it was finally time to start
their hip-hop group Mexican Pharmacy? I mean, they had only
been talking about doing it for over a decade.
Garcia and Finkel originally met back at the birth of the
Lightning in the Bottle music festival, both being in the same
circle of counterculture mavericks that emerged from this
scene in the early 2000s.
