Mgosi is a Christian Hip-Hop Artist and Producer, born in Tanzania, who uses his music to bring hope, happiness, and draw people closer to God.
Mgosi’s love for Hip-Hop started at the age of 11, after moving to the United States with his family. He has been making beats, and producing and recording music, since Hip-Hop’s global, mainstream takeover, in the 90’s, while he was in high school.
As a well-known college radio DJ at UMass-Amherst, Mgosi's radio show, “Mission 101”, featured local talent, emerging artists, and interviews with legendary musicians and Hip-Hop artists, such as Canibus.
Mgosi has been influenced by artists such as Nas, Kanye West, The Roots, Dead Prez, Gang Starr, Jay Z, Lecrae, and everyone in between.
Mgosi’s spiritual walk with God elevated to a greater and deeper level when he was baptized in 2009. It was then that he fully surrendered his life to Christ, and experienced a life-changing transformation in his life and music.
It was after that pivotal moment, that he married his soul mate, who he met at church, and they’ve been happily married for over 13 years. Family has always been an integral part of his life, and he is blessed to have three beautiful children.
Mgosi believes that when you put God first, everything else in your life falls into place, and he is honored to fulfill his calling from God, through his transformational, and soul-engaging music.
