“Songwriting is my favorite form of storytelling and it has always been an outlet for anything and everything I feel. From frustration with political decision makers to excitement about good news to romantic or platonic heartbreak, I find comfort in knowing that I can channel these emotions into a song. This basically does mean that anytime I perform an original song to anyone, it’s like I’m giving them an all access pass to the part of my brain that’s basically like a personal diary. So while others wear their hearts on their sleeves, I have pieces of mine in my songs.”
