I P A H began taking an interest in music, particularly piano at the age of 14 -after the loss of his brother Joel, who was also a musician.
Shortly after Joel’s death, I P A H started taking formal piano lessons and music theory.
2-3 years thereafter, he grew tired of reading and studying other composer’s music and wanted to make his own.
In August of 2008 I P A H composed 9 original, classically styled songs and recorded them all entirely by ear.
Only having 1 recording take on each track, purely from memory.
Since then Micah has taken a greater interest in the singer/songwriter genre. He will later release lyrical singles.
The SKYLARK album is not only a dedication to his late brother Joel but also a legacy of origin, in where he began his music journey.
While he continues to learn the theory of music and sight reading -I P A H still plays entirely by ear, no sheet music has ever been formally written.
The music is “in his mind” as he would state.
