Micah Thunder was born in Albuquerque, raised by professional dancers. Thunder started performing on the streets of Texas Houston as a teenage preacher.
Thunder draws on his experiences as a recovering addict in his music—a driving yet meditative folk and southwestern sound underpinned by the blues. A singer, songwriter, and bandleader, Thunder has recorded and released 2 albums in the past 2 years. The New Mexico Music Awards took notice, honoring Thunder with its Modern Rock award. And last summer, he performed in the Grammy-winning live music show, Bands of Enchantment.
