Michael-Alexander was born in Vienna, Austria.
He started his career at Bleeding Fingers Music as a technical assistant and additional music composer.
In 2016, he was the first Austrian to graduate from the USC Screen Scoring Program (formerly known as Scoring for Motion Picture and Television) and was awarded the 'Betty Rose collaboration award and scholarship' as well a mentorship with renowned film composer James Newton Howard.
Classically trained in Vienna, holding a degree in musicology, he gained practical experience working with the finest orchestral musicians in Los Angeles.
His music contains a mix of orchestral and electronic elements - a style which can be referred to as hybrid orchestral.
During his time living in Los Angeles, he formed a friendship with composer and veteran LA Times music critic, Walter Arlen. They worked together on a score to the silent film classic 'The City Without Jews'.
In addition to writing music for Film & TV in Austria and Germany, he is also an educational technologist working with schools to empower students to be more creative and use digital technology to pursue their endeavours in the arts.
