Michael Barnes is an up and coming artist hailing from Peterborough. He spent a lot of his time fronting a covers band in and around Peterborough prior to kickstarting his solo project. Michael draws influence from bands such as Arctic Monkeys, The Beatles and The Neighbourhood whilst paying homage to the 80s synth heavy soundscape.
'Ghosts' the debut single by Michael, was released on the 17th July 2020. Combining modern day electronic indie with an intrinsic tinge of the 80's, ghosts is a sure-fire nostalgia trip for the future. The music video for his debut single was released on the 1st November 2020.
His debut EP ‘ghosts’ was released on the 18th December 2020. Interestingly, this EP has been years in the making, with Michael utilising ideas from songs he has written throughout his musical experience. Tracks featured include: Ghosts, Those Eyes, Enemy and Without You.
