With sounds that echo with the bluesy, folk, rock beats of Americana, Michael Casali has a rich musical history spanning over three decades.
Based in Illinois, Michael writes, composes and produces music. Influenced by the music of Simon & Garfunkel, he has indulged his musical side since a young age, producer, and writer based in Illinois.
Michael began submitting his own music early on in his career, and one of his first compositions was part of the soundtrack for Indie film, Occupying Ed. His music has also featured on the soundtracks of independent movies, Little Vagabonds and Christmas Crashers, where he also contributed the title track. He most recently had his song Soldier recorded by Alycia Catizone , soon to be released on Music For World Peace Records. He contributed an instrumental for a fishing show called Let’s Fish.
Among the songs he feels most deeply for are “Blame It On The Beer”, co-written by Terry Fitts. A country bar singalong tune, Michael describes it as fun and very catchy. He is pleased with the way his track “Sanity”, produced by Erik Nelson, turned, with its moody, deep sound. He also rates “The Beautiful” as a must-listen, which he describes as “spiritual and soothing”.
He cites Jackson Browne as an influence on the depth he has found in his music, and Calexico for their contemporary sound.
