Michael Graves and the Excavators is a Brooklyn-based archaeology/art rock (indie progressive pop/synthpop) band.
First active as a hybrid live rock / electronic leaning recording project — MGE has largely been in the studio since 2019.
The band has released three covers albums, The Traitor (2019), This Guy’s in Love with You (2021), and Criminal World (2022) alongside several covers singles, two Christmas EPs, and a handful of originals. Many of these releases have been concealed until remasters are available.
On Safari, the band’s first original full length album is due in 2023.

The band uses analog and digital synthesis along with acoustic and electric elements with legacy production techniques.
MGE has released mostly covers and a handful of original singles. More original music is forthcoming. Some cancelled singles will be remastered and re-released.
