Michael Moorman’s music blends modern outlaw country with rock-driven energy, shaped by a lifetime of musical exploration and personal trials. Raised on a mix of outlaw country, ‘60s and ‘70s rock, and Motown, he was introduced to legends like Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson, and Johnny Cash by his father, a lifelong musician.

By his early teens, Michael was drawn to pop punk and hardcore, forming a band at 15 and diving into recording music. After losing multiple bandmates in tragic accidents, he shifted into hip-hop production, collaborating with artists worldwide. Music took a backseat when he became a father, but in 2021, the loss of his own father reignited his passion for songwriting. Inspired by Sturgill Simpson’s independent success, he committed to making country music his focus.

Michael’s music tells stories of family, loss, and life between the farm fields of northern Illinois and his wild teenage years in southwest Florida. His sound, rooted in deep musical diversity and personal hardship, brings a fresh perspective to modern outlaw country.
