Michal Paulina Oppenheim’s music is greatly influenced by the immigration of her jewish family from comonist Russia to Israel. This influence is best personified by her maternal grandmother; Ruth Hollender-Osophsky. That brought with her an early version of 20th century European new age. This influenced Michal’s familial heritage with a range of esoteric forms, from: Auto-suggestive healing to Astrology, to Theosophy. In her music, Michal uses these influences in order to explore the cultural function of the human voice, hopefully in order to take the listener to a voyage of altered states of consciousness.
