Berlin-based songwriter Michel Ryeson captivates with his intimate and emotive narratives. Born in Bremen, his journey is marked by relentless creativity and a profound emotional connection.
Ryeson's musical path began with his 2017 debut EP, "Head Up," which garnered significant airplay. While studying journalism, he performed as a street musician, connecting deeply with audiences. By 2018, after over 200 shows, he earned the Live-in-Bremen Award and a spot at POPKURS, drawing attention in the indie music scene. In 2019, he performed at the "Blue Balls Festival" in Switzerland alongside renowned artists.
During the pandemic, Ryeson collaborated with fellow artists, resulting in his debut album, "WAKE UP SLOW," produced by Jona Straub. The album translates deep emotions into a positive musical experience.
With "2am," Michel Ryeson embarks on a new musical journey, reflecting his personal evolution. For the first time, he self-produced his work, got it mastered by four-time Grammy nominee Zino Mikorey.
The debut single delves into themes of lost love, emotional stagnation, and the desire to open one's heart. Blending the sounds of James Blake and Daniel Caesar, it features Pop/Neo-Soul infused with RnB elements, creating a heartfelt soundscape that resonates with our fragility while instilling hope.
