Since I was a little girl, I’ve always wanted to sing. I’d belt out melodies from the garden swing, to the delight (and sometimes surprise) of the neighbors. My voice doesn’t always follow a plan; I let the sound take shape on its own, flowing, breaking free, reigning in, or expanding as it wishes.
Whether it’s singing French chansons at Carnegie Hall or the Sydney Opera House, performing with a full orchestra in Amsterdam, joining Bruno Brel in Brussels, or playing my own guitar compositions, I follow the sound , let it take the lead.
