Michelle Mayfield

Michelle moved to Austin, Texas, in 1997 to pursue her dream of music. She quit a head coaching job at her hometown college, and moved in with family to save money. In that same year, she found a producer and musician interested in her material, so "Matter of Time" was recorded.

Fast forward to 2005, now with tons of shows under her belt from performing throughout Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas, including residency's in Austin venues, Michelle established a regional following. With enough new material, she partnered with Reese Perkins (Reesemusic.com), her then lead guitarist, to record and produce "What Lies Within".

Working a full time job plus handling all that came with a music career on her own became too much and she got burned out. She decided to play a 'last show' on October 10, 2009. 4 years to that day in 2013, her daughter was born, so she knew she had made the right decision to take a break from the music biz.

Fast forward to 2025, Michelle still believes 100% in her ability as a performer, singer and songwriter, and knows that there are good songs on both releases that appeal to her longtime fans and could attract new fans. Michelle plans to revamp her MOT and WLW material, as well as share some new stuff.
