Michelle Willis is a Canadian singer, songwriter and keyboard player, based on the Fife coast of Scotland.

She has toured, recorded, and performed with David Crosby, Laura Mvula, Michael McDonald, Iggy Pop, Snarky Puppy, Becca Stevens, and the Zac Brown Band.

Her inspirations range from Little Feat, Brahms, Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, Donny Hathaway, Shawn Colvin, Jimmy Webb, and Regina Spektor.

Michelle studied jazz in Toronto, and soon began a career as a side-musician for several Canadian artists. With slide guitarist Don Rooke and violinist Hugh Marsh, she formed Three Metre Day. They released the album Coasting Notes (2011).

In 2016, Michelle released her debut full length album, See Us Through, and settled into her new home for the next several years in Brooklyn NY.

Her regular collaborations with funk fusion ensemble Snarky Puppy led to a recording session for the album Family Dinner Vol. 2. It was here she met David Crosby and Becca Stevens, whom alongside Michael League, soon became regular writing and touring bandmates.

Lighthouse (produced by League), featured a track with the first collaboration of all four artists. In 2018, they released ‘Here If You Listen’ with songs written by all.

Michelle’s 2022 release, Just One Voice (produced with Fab Dupont), was an ambitious studio record showcasing performances by Crosby, Michael McDonald, Grégoire Maret, Becca Stevens and Taylor Ashton. It is accompanied by a live and filmed concert of the same record.
