Mick Grocholl

<a href="spotify:artist:6RrZWYycXq5wyya2yoYjnv" data-name="Mick Grocholl">Mick Grocholl</a> is a North American singer, songwriter, producer, and musician. He is the founder, male vocalist, guitarist, percussionist, and audio engineer in <a href="spotify:artist:1feUfvv3d8eaiCfG3SA5B8" data-name="Stormfolk">Stormfolk</a>.
Born in 1994 in Mobile, Alabama, Mick began playing music by ear. In 2007, Mick performed his first concert in Gulf Shores, AL. Soon after, he moved south with his father to Melbourne, FL.
In high school, Mick was influenced by bands such as <a href="spotify:artist:3gd8FJtBJtkRxdfbTu19U2" data-name="Mumford &amp; Sons">Mumford &amp; Sons</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:16oZKvXb6WkQlVAjwo2Wbg" data-name="The Lumineers">The Lumineers</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:4dwdTW1Lfiq0cM8nBAqIIz" data-name="Of Monsters and Men">Of Monsters and Men</a>. In 2013, Mick started a band with his swim team buddies called “Oceans.” A hit in their local community, the band was short-lived and their group separated in 2014.
In college, Mick studied fine arts at FAU in Boca Raton, FL. Mick finished his AA at Eastern Florida State College (Melbourne, FL) and finished his Batchelor at University of Central Florida (Orlando, FL).
Mick played shows in Disney Springs, eventually starting his own band, <a href="spotify:artist:1feUfvv3d8eaiCfG3SA5B8" data-name="Stormfolk">Stormfolk</a>. He lived in Orlando 4 years before moving to Nashville. After 1 year playing shows with <a href="spotify:artist:4FxoICozvWBe6Rpc2L1Twq" data-name="Emma Zinck">Emma Zinck</a>, Mick moved closer to his family in Pensacola, FL. Here he focused more on his originals.
His sister, <a href="spotify:artist:7hQkqBg9cFeHTYmnZlrHCW" data-name="Kaylyn Hastings">Kaylyn Hastings</a> (vocals/bass) and friend, <a href="spotify:artist:0ZsbqQoP73geFF48xfr14v" data-name="Preston Czygan">Preston Czygan</a> (violin) joined <a href="spotify:artist:1feUfvv3d8eaiCfG3SA5B8" data-name="Stormfolk">Stormfolk</a>, along with his management led by his brother-in-law, Zac Hastings. The band performs weekly and is currently releasing original music.
