Formed in 2006, Midnight Prophet is the alter ego of Andrew Vaz. Musically influenced by artists such as Raine Maida and Thom Yorke as well as having a love of soundscapes and story telling Midnight Prophet became an artist for a new generation. The goal was to create deeply personal songs steeped in poetry and sometimes minimalist backdrops. Over the years it has evolved into a more overtly pop exterior, but always remained grounded in reality. This is music for tough times
