Born in Lisbon July 4th, Midus began playing bass and formed her first band at the age of 12 and by the age of 18 was signed to EMI-Valentim de Carvalho with 'Roquivarios' touring all over the country promoting 2 albums 'Pronto a Curtir' and 'Roquivarios'The band split in 1985 where Midus then began her solo career as a signed artist to Polygram with a release 'La Longe'. A year later Midus landed in London with negotiations to work with Luis Jardim for another release in Portugal 'Amazonia'. While staying in the UK Midus was part of various projects and bands including 'Coming Up Roses' with an album release in 1989 under Billy Braggs record label 'Utility' playing intensively around the UK and also a player for numerous other performers: Anne Clark- Tanita Tikaram- Brian Ferry- Suggs- Hugh Cornwell- MelanieC -Cathy Dennis- Kym Marsh- Daniel Pearce- Meja- Amelia- Byron Stingily-Billie Myers- Aynsley Lister and many others.
