When we think of Cleveland or Ohio in general, as far as rap only a few names come to mind. Bone Thugs of course, and also MGK and King Chip come up. In this new day and age so-called mc's are popping up like popcorn but the only ones that will stand out in the crowd are the ones who always had the gift of gab, not just any one grabbing the mic. Enter The Mighty McBoo, a battle tested vet on Cleveland streets, as well as it's music scene. After making his first demo at age 14 with one of Midwest's best producers at the time, Gerald "E.Q" Robinson, Mighty McBoo then signed to MadMen productions which later became Hot-Ta-Def Records. Mighty then recorded a regional anthem entitled "Nothin New" and went on to sell almost 5,000 copies with no video or radio play other than opening for such acts as Scarface, Above The Law, Mc Eight, and Top Authority.
