What started as the solo project of frontwoman Mikayla Coulombe has since evolved into a seven-piece indie rock band whose energetic and witty live sets are currently entertaining people’s faces off. Mik’s debut album, <a href="spotify:album:7xcNguYtQESYdP53jTvWtf" data-name="I Wanna Be Cool">I Wanna Be Cool</a>, was primarily recorded in her tiny Minneapolis closet and produced with the help of her former guitar instructor, <a href="spotify:artist:3Tnf72o3WrwrwvNJ1GKsrN" data-name="Zach Brose">Zach Brose</a>. In the band’s forthcoming album, you can expect them to dive deeper into rock and punk sounds while staying true to those catchy and emotional melodies heard on the first record.
