Mika Means

Mika Means is a powerhouse songwriter and artist from Atlanta, Georgia that is a force to be reckoned with. A fixture in recording studios from Atlanta to Los Angeles to NYC, she has collaborated with a countless number of of top artists and producers. Mika’s first high profile writing credit was Kelis ’ track "Ahhh Shit " produced by Shondrae “Bangladesh” Crawford from the Grammy-nominated album “Kelis Was Here. " Soon after, Mika secured a vocal feature on the Lil Wayne track “ Everybody Knows Me. " Her debut mix-tape entitled “ The Mona Mika ” hosted by DJ Sense and the Affiliates with features from Rick Ross , Shanell from Young Money and The Girls Club received 10,000 downloads the day it was posted. Since then, Mika has proven to be a writing machine working with a vast array of artists from Kelly Rowland, Elle Varner, Monica, BabyFace, and Missy Elliott, her mentor and former roommate. In 2014, she co-wrote the R&B smash “ Sex You ” by Bando Jonez that peaked at #3 on the Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart. Mika penned “Juicy Booty” for Chris Brown ’s platinum album, “Heartbreak on a Full Moon . ” Mika's latest single "Got Real", a collaboration with Joyryde (Skrillex's OWLSA Records) is her narrative on the devastating Coronavirus pandemic - "This Sh*t Got Real!"
