Japanese singer Mika Kaneko performs bright dance-pop similar to <a href="spotify:artist:3Mvc8kRgr8LRYYgvFmlZqn">Ayumi Hamasaki</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:5O6t6gb6MeNqzOBAq1oLad">Globe</a>. Born in Kyoto and based in Tokyo, she was influenced by American acts like <a href="spotify:artist:7Ey4PD4MYsKc5I2dolUwbH">Aerosmith</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:1eEfMU2AhEo7XnKgL7c304">the Carpenters</a>, as well as Japanese icon <a href="spotify:artist:0MebO9MFNvedjUBsPGo0YN">Gackt</a>. In addition to her love of singing, she also studied French in high school and university, where she would later add modeling to her résumé. In 2014, she released the pulsing single "Orange." The next year, she issued the ballad "Memories" and the electronic dance "Bad Prince." Another dancefloor-filler, "Je T'aime," and the hip-hop-influenced "Koufukudo" both arrived in 2016.
