Mike Evans moved to London and joined Official Secrets Act who signed with One Little Indian, home to Bjork, Skunk Anansie, Sneaker Pimps and Tusks. Their album ‘Understanding Electricity’ was produced by Liam Howe of Sneaker Pimps. Three years later OSA morphed into CITIZENS!, with Alex Kapranos of Franz Ferdinand producing their debut album ‘Here We Are’.
CITIZENS! toured extensively for 5 years, supporting the likes of Mika, The Rapture and Franz Ferdinand. They also shared festival stages with Tame Impala, Two Door Cinema Club, Chairlift and St Lucia.
Since CITIZENS! Evans has played Keys for Shock Machine (James Righton - Klaxons), played drums for Alpines and most recently been drumming for Franz Ferdinand. In his spare time he puts out music on his label, ‘Silverstar Records’ and has collaborated with electronic duo Alpines, and the legendary 70’s Folk band Trees.
