Mike Gonsolin aka Mike G is a multi-talented record producer, musician, and veteran mixing engineer from the Bay Area, CA. Known for bringing today’s new wave of hip hop into mainstream, the multi-instrumentalist got his start as a teen writing and recording songs in his hard rock band.
With his passion for songwriting developing faster than his ability to afford studio time, he built his own studio at an early age expanding his musical palette into hip hop production and beat making.
After moving to LA in 2010 he quickly found himself writing and producing across all genres for many of today’s major artists like Snoop Dogg, Playboi Carti, The Migos, and T-Pain. Soon Mike was well recognized across the industry.
After befriending rappers Sad Frosty and Quadeca in the late 2010s, the trio soon developed their own hip hop YouTube series “Viral In 24” that went on to become a massive hit.
While enjoying the success of being a prominent name in hip hop production, Sad Frosty consistently encouraged him to double down on his dream of releasing his own records.
In 2022 Sad Frosty tragically passed, serving as a turning point to seize the moment and see that dream come to fruition.
2023 saw his long awaited debut single “Girls Gone Wild” with Offset and G-Eazy.
Primarily known as a hip hop producer, he brings his own unique style of production with the energy of rock music coupled with the catchiness of pop music, still hitting the mark for hip hop in all the right ways.
