At age 14, Mike Paine, bought his first guitar and began teaching himself to play. It was about that time when Mike also began performing his new instrument; singing and playing in front of large and small audiences. Mike later earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Guitar Performance from the University of Utah.
Mike is currently the touring guitarist for international recording artist Alex Boyé, who he has worked with off and on since 2006. Mike has also played lead guitar for Country Artist, Collin Raye. In the Summer of 2015, Mike released his debut solo CD, “Back to the Country.” The CD, which consists of original songs, was recorded in Nashville, TN, features members of Lynyrd Skynyrd as well as members of Kenny Roger’s band. Mike’s music has been featured on Brad Mercer’s Bands n’ Fans Radio Show, The Iceman Cometh’s Radio Show, and various Southern California radio stations and some other western states stations as well. Mike has also appeared as a solo artist and as a member of other bands since 2002.
