His new album, Album II: The Land of the Twisted Tree, began six years ago as a feeling “bursting out of his chest.” Sabath rented an RV, drove along the West Coast, and transformed the back bed into a mobile studio where he and his friends recorded songs in national parks, letting the music be inspired by nature and motion. Many of the tracks were born quickly during that journey, but it took years to fully develop into a world. For Sabath, albums are about creating entire universes—spaces to live in, share, and invite others into. Album II: The Land of the Twisted Tree is that world: a higher field where love, care, compassion, free expression, magic and all of us coexist.
