“I began making music in 2017 under the name ‘DJ SC’ before rebranding to Mikeal in 2019 as the DJ SC name no longer felt right with the kind of music I was making at that time. The music started off as just simple GarageBand songs being released every few months or so until I decided to start taking the production more seriously with &#64;<a href="spotify:album:4MY572nsyTS8KPhUYkSJ66" data-name="Apocalyptic Dreams">Apocalyptic Dreams</a> in 2021, even then it was still very rough. But the result of that album would lead to me putting more and more time into future projects, resulting in very noticeable jumps in quality with each new release since 2021 with everything I’ve learned with each album since then ultimately cultivating in my newest release <a href="spotify:album:1uouXQTiwkVERdlRl49Bsj" data-name="Synthesis">Synthesis</a>, a narrative heavy album about a character named ‘Eden’ and their journey to save their home from an invading light. It’s very different from my previous works but at the same time, still has a sense of familiarity in some of its sound.”
