Mikee Liks

Mikee Liks began his career trying to create music at 10 years old in 1995. He encountered music creation for the first time at a youth club in Kent and picked up music creation games and progams for PC and Playstation. With little or no training he had sound.


He recorded his first tracks with fellow South Of the River cohorts: SK, OO Runna, D Know, Japeto, DJ Jazzmapheric and DJ Oze. SK, Mikee and DJ Oze started off at 16 as LMS rapping and recording tapes in DJ Oze's loft. Oze was a talented DJ with skills and the beats. Mikee and SK were freestylers who wanted to become rapstars like their idols Big L, Big Pun, DMX, 2Pac and Method Man. DJ Oze passed away soon after and the crew split.


Following on Mikee met DJ Spoona from Cutterz Choice &
Blackmarket Records. He continued to pursue recording music and worked with drum n bass artists such as DJ Zen, Twisted Individual, Benny Page & Rhythm Beater. Together they performed at Lithomania, Lithuania where Mikee met Emery, Green Carpet Studios, which lead to the single - Wherever You Are.
