A concept solo project, Mikey Jukebox is Mikey James' (Longwave, The Mercies, Admirers, Hawker M. James, The Demos) love letter to two of rock and roll's golden ages: the 1950s and the glam rock era. James invented the Mikey Jukebox persona as an alter-ego, the embodiment bubblegum innocence and rock and roll attitude rolled into one. Since its untimely release in summer of 2010, songs from the self titled album has been featured on several hit TV shows (including "This Is Us", and "New Girl"), and the Mikey Jukebox persona continues to gain its "future-cult" status. James moved onto his Admirers phase (if you can keep up) shortly after.
