Michael O Ikhifa, also known as Miki Ikhifa, is a Lagos, Nigeria-based musician. His musical journey commenced in 1994 within the church, initially playing the keyboard before mastering a range of instruments, including the bass guitar, electric and acoustic guitars, drums, and ultimately the saxophone. Influenced by Jazz, Rock, and classical music, he draws inspiration from mentors such as George Benson Earl Klugh and Carlos Santana.
Miki Sax has released a series of remarkable works with record label Silk Road Serenades. His debut EP @Nkosi's Fantasia: Chapter One came out on a crisp October night in 2023, setting the foundation for his rising career. Following that, his hit single @Night of Arará released in May 2024, captivated audiences and solidified his presence in the music scene. Most recently, Miki's first album @BREZZE dropped in September 2024, showcasing his continued evolution and creativity. Through these releases, Miki Ikhifa cements his place in the evolving world of Afro-jazz, blending soulful melodies with a modern edge.
