Eastern Cape, Umtata bred talent Siyanda Mona better known as Mikkie SomaQhuzu in the streets of South African Hip Hop is one of the prominent and vital hip hop Xhosa Trappers /story tellers, widely known for his Unique Xhosa Raps and Backing Vocals.


SomaQhuzu has been a breath of fresh air since he moved to Johannesburg after his Matric to pursue his Music career, he&#39;s been the talk of the town since the 2017 release titled &#34;XHENTSA&#34; Featuring <a href="spotify:artist:7J8TsAqwQVAIOlloWCuW60" data-name="MusiholiQ">MusiholiQ</a> and Zetman, the song has made rounds on <a href="spotify:playlist:5PooMCQTLPS86Ke6cINMkb" data-name="Umhlobo Wenene 92.7 FM, Cradock, South Africa">Umhlobo Wenene 92.7 FM, Cradock, South Africa</a> and many other local Radio stations, competed for a spot on <a href="spotify:artist:6PL23hz7B60eFrQ9pxVO9R" data-name="OSKIDO">OSKIDO</a> #ibelieve on METRO FM and was voted no.1 for three consecutive weeks, made a debut on One Mic SABC 1 Season 2 and has gained traction on Back The City Festival 2019 when he was voted top 8 on the Play Energy Drink 10K Challenge ,Top 6 on DJ Dimple&#39;s Pop Bottles 2019 amongst the names like Costa Titch , SomaQhuzu was also featured on SOUTH AFRICAN HIP HOP AWARDS CORNER CYPHER 2018 amongst the names like LOLLI NATIVE, GIGI LAMAYNE, DIBI, LUNA FLORENTINO etc


In the year 2021 SomaQhuzu re-branded his music style and his Vision and his purpose became clear and aligned his music with his values and expressed himself instead of imitating what others do.
