Miku Martineau might be new to the spotlight, but she is poised to make an impact both on screen and through song. Most recently, she reached a global audience starring alongside Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Woody Harrelson in Netflix’s action film Kate, and in February of this year made her debut as a musician.
Miku started her career at the age of 12 as a voice actor. In addition to the film Kate, she also appeared in the television series Ruby and the Well. Most recently, she wrapped production on the feature Honor Society for Paramount +, sharing the screen with Angourie Rice (Mare of Easttown), Gaten Matarazzo (Stranger Things), and Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Super Bad, Kick-Ass).
While busy making an impact on-screen, Miku has not one, but two records being released; “Stay In This Moment” and “When I Cry.” These two diverse singles are sure to blow listeners away with Miku’s natural singing talent and innate ability to tell a story through her voice.
As someone of both Japanese and Canadian heritage, Miku is acutely aware of the inequality in society, and hopes to change stereotypes and biases by reaching as many people as possible through her talent and kindness. With very centered and down to earth parents, Miku is able to see all walks of life, giving her a true appreciation of the importance of making a difference. Through her success, she aims to pay it forward not only in her craft, but to as many people in need as possible.
