Milk Truck started out as a spacey punk band between music nerd friends in North Carolina and through several years and lineup changes evolved (or devolved) into an amalgamation of all their influences, leaning heavily into the emo, post-punk, shoegaze, hardcore, and indie pockets, most songs featuring a two bass/ two guitar approach. After recording their lone EP and follow up single, they disbanded for a few years and re-emerged in 2024 with original vocalist and bassist Aaron Kurtz, original guitarist Curtis Yow, and second lineup staples Viktor Hernandez on guitar and backup vocals, Kris Hernandez on second bass and backup vocals, and Mike Carney on drums. Many of the bands lyrics and riffs were written by and/ or inspired by original guitarist, the late and immeasurably talented Gabe Ide.
