Milly Blue

Milly Blue started her musical career as a vocalist for <a href="spotify:artist:4YrKBkKSVeqDamzBPWVnSJ" data-name="Basement Jaxx">Basement Jaxx</a> when she was a teenager, guesting on four tracks over two albums. She has since collaborated with the likes of, amongst others, <a href="spotify:artist:6JnhL5qqBYbBbc7jUdvtxq" data-name="Andrew Hung">Andrew Hung</a> (of <a href="spotify:artist:6tCENAD2FBfIMyygJMeOJV" data-name="Fuck Buttons">Fuck Buttons</a> fame), <a href="spotify:artist:4RUjXpY1miotoKFF76r6gm" data-name="Natural Self">Natural Self</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3zD5liDjbqljSRorrrcEjs" data-name="Guillemots">Guillemots</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:2WrVwQi8ez2O1Ds5Q7hLXa" data-name="Fyfe Dangerfield">Fyfe Dangerfield</a>, recorded in Berlin with <a href="spotify:artist:2inX1svE5swPuIBIJdrFyo" data-name="Noah Slee">Noah Slee</a> and toured singing with <a href="spotify:artist:25bvQC4jyyFUce6jbzNlwb" data-name="Bright Light Bright Light">Bright Light Bright Light</a> supporting <a href="spotify:artist:3Y10boYzeuFCJ4Qgp53w6o" data-name="Scissor Sisters">Scissor Sisters</a>, as part of <a href="spotify:artist:7fx2SnWEZWNwiP4iLsyQvq" data-name="Losers">Losers</a> with <a href="spotify:artist:5KQMtyPE8DCQNUzoNqlEsE" data-name="Gary Numan">Gary Numan</a> and solo, supporting <a href="spotify:artist:2zMQOJ4Cyl4BYbw6WqaO3h" data-name="L7">L7</a> (Berlin) and <a href="spotify:artist:6Tyzp9KzpiZ04DABQoedps" data-name="Little Dragon">Little Dragon</a> (UK). And proudly, at the end of 2020, appearing alongside <a href="spotify:artist:4FtSnMlCVxCswABUmdhwpm" data-name="Carly Simon">Carly Simon</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6ASGmWCYupa0CXGtsDdYSI" data-name="Jamie Lidell">Jamie Lidell</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6YqhcZlSE8ugUcmoHLw9gz" data-name="Vula">Vula</a> and others on <a href="spotify:artist:1cKzXPZGc5GuGPjofJVi12" data-name="Neil Thomas">Neil Thomas</a>&#39;s track &#39;I&#39;m Not Sitting Down&#39; to raise money for the BLM movement.


As a solo artist Milly Blue makes emotive, dreamful pop music. Soulful, wonky and sometimes shoegazey, influenced by artists from her youth like Deftones, Sonic Youth and Prince she blends intricate vocal harmonies, electric guitar, kalimba and whatever else is lying around to produce her signature eclectic style.
